I'm Jensen Ross Ackles, but don't call me Jenny. I hate that nickname, but I'm fine with being called Jen. I was born in Dallas, TX to Alan & Donna Ackles. I've got an older brother, Joshua and a younger sister, Mackenzie. I had a rather normal childhood growing up and I got a taste of the acting bug when I went to an acting seminar while I was in high school. After I graduated, I had been accepted to Texas Tech University to study sports medicine and be a physical therapist. Well, we all know how that turned out, right? I'm a simple man who has simple needs. Usually, I'm just fine with a cold beer, a good hot meal, and a little bit of craziness. I'm not overly crazy about things that are lavish or over the top, but I don't mind them on occasion. Sometimes, I can be a romantic, but that's only with the right woman, whenever I find her.

Some of the acting gigs that I had done were guest spots on shows like "Mr. Rhodes", "Sweet Valley High", and "Cybil". I got my real big break in acting when I got the part of Eric Brady on the soap "Days of Our Lives". Since then, I've been on some amazing TV shows like "Dawson's Creek", "Dark Angel", "Smallville", and the best show around, "Supernatural". Some people seem to have forgotten the part that I did some theater work, which was in June, 2007 where I played opposite Lou Diamond Phillips in "A Few Good Men". I've done some movies which include "Ten Inch Hero" where I sport tattoos, piercings, multicolored mohawks, and kilts. Yes, I did wear one. My most recent movie was in a remake of "My Bloody Valentine" in 3D and that was one of the best movies to work on.

The 5th season of the show is in full swing as we've been in Vancouver since the beginning of July and it's great to be back and see everyone again. Well, almost everyone. It's really not the same here without Kim Manners. I miss his words, his laugh, and the guidance that he gave as a director and a friend. But people pass on and we need to get through it and keep going.
